What is GriefShare?

It hurts to lose someone. Find help at GriefShare.GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

How Does it work?

GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

What is the class like?

Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A GriefShare workbook assists you with note taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. During the small group discussion time, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences, and share your own.

Do I have to attend WCC?

You do not have to attend Western Carolina Church to be a part of Griefshare. This is a community organization that is hosted at Western Carolina and led by Carolyn Dotts.

You may begin attending the GriefShare groups at any time. Each session is “self-contained,” so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement, comfort and care to help you heal from your loss.
